Majestic Galleries: Opening Night: The Majestic: Interventions 8-11 by Hillary Gattian, Graduate student at Ohio University in Painting + Drawing. She creates installations that form a dialogue about order and simplicity while slowing down time for the viewer and heightening their awareness to space and the everyday. She hopes to inspire the viewer to look for an escape from the disorienting, fast paced and ever changing world we live in.

Hillary Gattian is a California native from the southern coastal community of Ventura. Initially, she studied architecture while living on the central coast in San Luis Obispo, before deciding to peruse her BFA in Painting and Drawing from Sonoma State University. She currently resides in The Plains, Ohio where she is completing her MFA in Painting + Drawing while serving as instructor of record for painting and drawing courses.
