"Paper Circle is dedicated to the celebration, preservation, and advancement of the paper and book arts. Our values, mission and what we do today sprang from the dreams of our founder, Sara Gilfert.

"Paper Circle is a vibrant non-profit paper arts gallery located on the historic, starbrick-lined square of Nelsonville, Ohio. Our spacious northern-lit gallery, which hosts six exhibitions annually, also includes a shop where we feature an assortment of handmade paper objects of art that are made in our creative studio located in the rear, complete with a Hollander beater, 2 presses and numerous vats and dryers for making paper on-site.

"We also offer year-round community workshops and sponsor a yearly Changing Artist Program in which accomplished artists from other media are invited to the studio to spend a year exploring the possibilities of paper.

"Our major outreach program, Circle for Kids, takes place in the summer. In response to the lack of art education in the school from grades K-8, Circle for Kids provides the underserved area youth a summer of learning through the arts."
